Cayley Families,
I’d like to start out by thanking the Cayley Oddfellows for their work in setting up our pancake breakfast last Friday. Our students and staff were most appreciative of the breakfast and a good time was had by all! It was great to see some many parents at the event, and I hope to see you all again this week for our meet the teacher night.
Upcoming Important Dates:
Thursday September 12th- Cayley Meet the Teacher night from 6:00-7:00 pm (more info below)
Monday September 16th- Flag football game at Meadow Ridge (Okotoks), 3:30-4:30 pm
Friday September 20th- Terry Fox Run through Cayley community, 1:00-2:30 pm
Also, please note the following information:
Meet the Teacher Night- we are excited to welcome you to meet the teacher night this Thursday. Please note the following itinerary:
6:00 pm- Families and staff to gather outside on the playground, ice cream treat to be offered to children (in the event of poor weather, we will gather in the gym)
6:15 pm- Meet in gym for short welcome message from Mr. Hayden and staff
6:30 pm- Families welcome to tour school, visit children’s classroom
7:00 pm- Event concludes
Terry Fox Run- Families that wish to make a donation to the Terry Fox Foundation in support of cancer research can do so at the following link:
We are challenging everyone to donate a toonie for Terry!
On Friday September the 20th we will honour Terry Fox by completing the Terry Fox Run as a school, and we welcome our families to join us! We will meet in the gym at 1pm for a kick-off to the run, and have a group warm-up. We will then run on a route throughout our community, before returning to school grounds.
